Giving Thanks

Posted on March 4th, 2010 by Dr. TriRunner

So much to say, but so little time.

School is in full swing (although I don’t think I can recall a time when it was only in half swing, or two thirds…), my role in my research position is picking up, I did a decent job at getting sick on Tuesday, I have a jobjob interview on Saturday (but don’t know enough of the deats. yet to say I’d take it if it were even offered), annnnd life is just pretty full at the moment. But instead of writing about all of that, which none of you would care about (or at least I really don’t…) I thought it was due time for a little gratitude.

1. God has blessed the city of Minneapolis with 40° days, which is more than enough for me to justify shorts. Give me 32° and I’m in. Gotta start on that tan at some point, right?

2. Said events have allowed me to experience once again the phenom of “muddy calfs syndrome” … which makes me feel like a runner, regardless of my actual running frequency and/or status.

3. Truthfully… the frozen yogurt wasn’t like extraordinary or anything. But these ladies are. And that’s what counts!

4. Much needed new shoes, next day delivery, crazy outstanding customer service from Zappos.

5. Family. No matter what yours looks like. You only get one.

And with that mis amigos, yo te digo adios. Get your friday confessionals ready, cause I have some stuff to unload and I don’t want to be the only one who has wound up on the naughty list! Wishing you warm weather, happy hearts, and fast feet!
